Growing tomatoes in the tropics generally requires experienced care. Although they can grow well in heat and humidity, the time taken to fruit (especially for larger fruits) leaves the plants more susceptible to plant diseases than the shorter harvesting cycles of leafy vegetables.
Grow with care. Although a full day's sun is required, use shade cloth to regulate excess afternoon sun. Germinate in cool, dark area. Grow in cool area, shaded from afternoon sun, good air circulation and water often. Larger fruiting varietals are not recommended for beginner guerillas.
